Party like a Nasty Gal!

Nasty Gal's relaunch pre/post Coachella party was a complete success. Everyone was dressed to impress and ready to let loose with some dangerously delicious Margaritas, courtesy of Peligroso Tequila. Free booze?! Real peligroso!

Styles ranged from classic and chic, to loud and outrageous. A true fashionista salad bowl. One particular designer made a strong presence amongst the LA fashion divas- None other than one of our fav's, Jeffrey Campbell. Shoes to die for in every direction. Check out these JC wedges...Fuego!!

Here are some other random pics we took throughout the night...

By the way, these are our married friends, Daisy and Rudy. Aren't they adorable?!

We even got complimentary swag bags!

So much fun partying like Nasty Gals. And yes, it's true... Nasty Gals DO do it better!

Dinner with the Besties!

Last night, we made Mexican style fish tacos and fresh salsa all from scratch. (No, this isn't an April Fool's joke, we really did get down in the kitchen). Julie's mom makes the best fish tacos in the world and yesterday, Julie decided to share her family recipe with us. We started off with a trip to the supermarket to buy all the essentials. I have to add that three hungry girls at the supermarket is not good... Okay, so we got everything we needed (or so we thought), including some Dos Equis to wash the tacos down, and went straight to work. Of course we forgot one of the most important items... Corn tortillas. Duh! Ali's sister was gracious enough to go back to the grocery store for us. (Thanks, Steph!) We started off with the toppings for the tacos, which is what took the longest to make. All that chopping is not easy!

Here's a list of the toppings:
- Chopped onion marinated in lemon
- Red salsa (This was also an original recipe, courtesy of Julie's momma. Mmm mmm good!)
- Pico de gallo
- Guacamole
- Special spread (This is the secret to delicious fish tacos...)

We fried the fish dipped in batter last. That part was a breeze, including making the batter, but the best part was finally sitting down to eat! Our teamwork definitely paid off. Everything was suuuper yummy. Special thanks to our friend, Julie. We really appreciate her sharing her family recipe with us. (We had an awesome time, kitten!)
