Snap, Crackle, Shop.

Alii and I went a little crazy this Saturday making our last minute Christmas purchases. This is one of the rare occasions where we were actually tired of shopping. Yes, physically beat. The next time someone says shopping too much is a bad habit, you can tell them it's actually an excellent workout.

Oh. Hiii!

Hello to a weekend of food, wine, poolside loungin' and quality time with Steph. Ojai was the perfect location to celebrate Steph's birthday to welcome her mid 20's new lifestyle.(Love you, sis! Happy birthday!!)

In 2 short days, we did it all: brunch at Bonnie Lu's, wine tasting at Casa Barranca, Italian food at La Fonda, and even some shopping down Ojai Ave. We came across a vintage jewelry vender and fell in love with so many pieces. Too bad I wasn't carrying more cash on me... plastic does not come in handy for these kinds of places, but I did manage to dig up enough to take home the coolest looking watch and bracelet. Can't wait to wear my new arm fuego.

Before our road trip back to LA (actually, not much of a road trip at all, it was only a 2 hour drive), we had brunch at Cafe Ojai Emporium. Delicioso! Nice way to say, "Hasta Luego" to our relaxing, little weekend getaway.

LA Nights

Since alii decided to ditch us this weekend to go to Ojai, Friday night was just Julie and I. (JK, alii, but we did miss you!) Julie kept it classic with a twist, wearing all black and gold, and I wore, what I like to call, my jazzy sequin shorts.

We went to Exchange LA in downtown and danced until the place shut down. Tritonal and Super8. Wow. Awesome, awesome, awesome!

And yes, we're wearing matching necklaces totally not planned! Great minds really do think alike.

Las Triplets at BJs

Last night, alii and I spent some QT with our bestie, Julie.  Las triplets...aww!  We had so much to talk about, even though we talk/ text all the time. What can I say? We're girls. Julie's birthday in 2 weeks was the hot topic. What to do, what to do. We brainstormed for a bit and finally decided on a girl's night out to celebrate her 27th. We're doing Bottega Louie in DTLA for dinner and Supper Club in Hollywood. Should be an exciting night. Stay tuned for pics.

We ended the night with a delicious pizookie. Can't go to BJs and not get a pizookie. Classic chocolate chip. It never disappoints.

FNO

What's that you say? Only every fashionistas' favorite day of the year! Fashion Night Out, of course. This year, Alii and I headed to the Phillip Lim store on Robertson Blvd where Refinery 29 hosted their, "Kill the Night," comic book theme event. We were welcomed by a bar and a Mexican style ice cream cart. How cool is that?!

Alii and I were accompanied by her lovely sis, Steph, or as I like to call her, Estefanía, who was quite the sensation. Her outfit turned a few heads and was worthy of some shots by a few random photographers, including that of Refinery 29. We can't wait to see if she'll be featured on their blog. (You'll read about it here if she is).

Sipping on yummy coladas, mingling, and drooling over Phillip Lim's hand bag collection is how we spent our night. Steph bought the coolest pink framed reading glasses and received a courtesy signed comic book. Awesome all around.

Alii and I ended the night with some bachata dancing at Granadas in Alhambra. Outfit no. 2 consisted of music tees: MJ and Nirvana. Perfect way to stay cool. (Literally. Dancing bachata is a workout!)
